Even Angels Need Help

Gulfside Hospice is a front line healthcare provider bringing compassionate care to 600+ hospice patients ad their family members every day in their homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals and our two hospice care centers. Nearly 90% of our patients are aged 65+, putting them at higher risk of complications from the COVID-19 virus.

Our hospice team “angels on earth” do extraordinary work in the best of times and that hasn’t stopped as we face what could be described as the worst of times. But, they need your help today.

The COVID-19 pandemic has made hospice care extraordinarily more challenging & created an unanticipated financial burden for the Gulfside Hospice organization. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become necessary to purchase additional personal protective equipment (e.g. face masks, face shields, gloves, gowns, etc.) for our staff as well as sanitizing supplies and hygiene stations for each of our locations. The cost for these alone is nearly $100,000 so far.

All Gulfside Hospice Thrift Shoppes have remained closed since March 16 to comply with social distancing recommendations. Our signature fundraiser, Charity Casino Night, has been postponed for several months as well. Our thrift shoppes and fundraising events are vital to raising funds necessary to ensure that no hospice patient is turned away because of an inability to pay.
