Fueling Minds/Fueling Imaginations

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Bess the Book Bus has made adaptations to our programming and forged essential partnerships with organizations serving persons on the front lines to include  touch-free book distributions at free lunch sites in Tampa and St. Petersburg as well as curbside pickups to our families who are now homeschooling at our Bus Depot Book Bank.

From March 17th, 2020 to present, BBB has distributed over 3,500 books to our local partners. We have distributed books to Feeding Tampa Bay, Metropolitan Ministries, Sheehy and Woodbridge Elementary Schools, Keep St. Pete Lit, Word Box, 21st Century iClass,The Community Development and Training Center and individual families.

We have also maintained our national presence. Through our 2020 Fueling Good Virtual Tour we have distributed over 10,000 books to our partners in six states and the Navajo Nation.

BBB is following all up to date disinfectant and safe handling guidelines from the CDC. We are committed to connecting our families across the USA with the resources they need to be successful.
