Join our Buddy Program and provide cultural/language knowledge in response to the questions presented by the clients - Help the children of a client with homework - Practice English with any of the clients in the home - Connect clients with previously unknown community resources - Assist the adults in the family with setting up appointments, paying bills, or reading correspondence - Refer clients to COC staff when their questions surpass the volunteer’s general knowledge.

Behind-The-Scene

About us COC strives to foster a sense of solidarity and acceptance among ethnic groups, refugees, asylees, new immigrants, abused spouses of US citizens, and victims of human trafficking regardless of age, race, sex, religion, economic condition or country of origin. The agency achieves it mission by providing legal and social service aid to refugees and asylees who are victims of torture or who are unwilling to return to a country of origin due to persecution or well-founded fear of persecution.
