The WORD! Initiative + KEEP ST. PETE LIT! are on a mission to elevate literacy rates among youth in South St. Pete! We’re doing this through the installation of free book exchanges, titled WORD! Book Boxes. When a child grabs a book from a WORD! Book Box they’ll have free access to culturally inclusive and uplifting books. How you can help: Host a book drive for our WORD! Box Boxes! We need new and gently-used culturally diverse kids and young adult books to go in our free book boxes in four locations in South St. Pete.
