Support for Quantum Leap Farm’s Therapy Horses
Quantum Leap Farm is a 20 year old equine-assisted therapies program serving kids and adults with life changing disabilities: injured veterans, pediatric cancer patients, kids and adults with special needs, and their families.
As many of our participants are immune-compromised we suspended services in order to protect them, our staff and our volunteers from unnecessary risk of exposure to COVID-19. We are experiencing equine-assisted therapy revenue losses, and anticipate a reduction in general contributions as many of our donors may experience financial hardship during this crisis.
We have applied for federal payroll relief funding, however we are in need of immediate funding to support care and feeding of our 14 therapy horses and other animals used for therapeutic purposes here. We spend on average $11,600 per month on feed, hay, bedding, farrier services, veterinary services and medications for our animals. If you have the capacity to help underwrite any portion of these ongoing expenses during this time, we would appreciate your support immensely!
